Combined with my passion for watercolors, I strive to create engaging and useful videos to help guide others through their watercolor adventures.
Limited Palette Series
The newest series on the channel explores watercolor palettes of just two or three colors and how they work together in a practical painting. The Limited Palette Series aims to explore a variety of color pairings and triads with different properties - such as hue, saturation, value, and granulation.
Product Reviews
These videos are designed to help viewers make informed decisions about acquiring new supplies, especially when compared to others you already have in your collection. My approach to reviews often includes comparing brands using swatch cards as well as painting demonstrations.
Tutorials & Demos
In addition to brand reviews, I also have a variety of tutorials and guides to help viewers navigate other aspects of watercolors. Some of my favorites include how to paint with opaque watercolors, the difference between drawing and painting skills, and how to set up watercolor palettes.
Top Favorites Series
The Top 5 series ran from December 2017 to March 2018. Throughout the series, I shared my favorite supplies across various categories, such as paint colors, brushes, and more.
The series received updates in 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2025. The latest addition updates all my favorite studio supplies.
Paint & Chat
A goal of mine for the past couple years has been to become more comfortable in my sketchbook. Along the way, I've shared some of these sessions on my channel. I also have some sketchbook tours to show you what I've been up to when I'm not posting videos!
Pride Series
In 2015, I painted my first Pride piece in celebration of of same-sex marriages being legalized across the U.S. In years since, I've added to the collection. I try to release a new video each year, documenting the process along the way. You can find these videos interspersed my Paint & Chat playlist.
Color Spotlight Series
Color Spotlight began in January 2017. In this well-loved series, I shine a light on specific pigments, talk about their history, and compare different brands. We explore color mixing and use the color as a foundational component in a painting.
Brand by Brand
This series explored some of my favorite professional brands of watercolor through limited palettes. Each video focuses of a different brand, aiming to feature a well-balanced palette while highlighting each brand's unique strengths. This video series was discontinued, but the remaining brands are available as blog posts on Patreon.
Swatch With Me
Having trouble deciding what colors to purchase? Check out my Swatch with Me series! In these videos, we take a casual, real-time look at a wide array of colors from a single brand. These videos are intended to be resources in order to assist you with buying decisions or just to have on in the background while you paint.
